Bono Vox chose the Adriatic to unwind in!

Bono Vox was spotted in a restaurant in the Dubrovnik area where he dined with friends choosing from the fish menu, Grouper with Shrimp, the house special. For the best red wine in the restaurant, they consulted the waiter!

The charismatic lead-singer of the popular Irish group U2, Bono Vox, visited Dubrovnik incognito this summer. He was sailing the mega-yacht, Seagul 1, a luxuriously re-vamped ex-Jadrolinija passenger ship, (the Vladimir Nazor). Together with a crowd of friends, the famous singer visited one of the best known fish restaurants of the Dubrovnik region, the “Gverović”, in Zaton mali. The owner, Igor, said that he only recognized Bono towards the end of the meal.

“Unfortunately we did not have a camera, but I think that these famous people actually enjoy not being bothered” – Igor Gverović claimed to a Croatian daily newspaper. Bono Vox and his friends chose the fish menu, the house special, Grouper with Shrimp, and they asked the waiter to advise on the best red wine in the restaurant.

- “They were” – Gverović says – “extremely satisfied with the wine recommendation Mendek Selekcia, which-rumor has it -is a favourite with Sting also”. Those familiar with the life and work of Bono Vox, the singer born in Dublin under the name

of Paul Hewson 46 years ago, wouldn’t be surprised at his choice of yacht for Adriatic cruising:
